Wintrol® Sodium Nitrite-G

Solid, granular product used as an iron and steel corrosion inhibitor. Good at preventing pitting corrosion of steel and used in heavy duty coolants to inhibit cavitation induced corrosion. Used in antifreeze and closed loop (not open) cooling or heat transfer applications. Not used in metalworking fluids due to potential formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines.
